Founder and CEO, Glowee, France
A passionate entrepreneur, Sandra completed her education in industrial design with a master’s degree in social entrepreneurship. Her will to question the economic and ecological issues of artificial lighting was born from a biology student contest. Inspired by nature and deep-sea bioluminescent creatures, she began to conceptualize the future of energetical models and designed a light able to revolutionize the way in which cities are illuminated. Today, Sandra is the proud founder and CEO of Glowee, an environmental biotechnology startup using bioluminescent marine organisms, a natural phenomenon of light production. Her innovation received over 20 international awards and Sandra has been recognized among the 10 best innovators in France by the renowned MIT Technology Review.
